Dreaming...

Muck Fichigan. Seriously. God has some serious beef with this hand-shaped piece of shit. This morning I awoke to find everything blanketed with a fresh layer of snow! DAMMIT IT'S SPRING! Enough already, we're ready for the real deal now thank you! Someone should petition God. Last week's teasing with those fabulous 80 degree days is infuriating in retrospect. I decided to boycott church today in response.

Deal with that God! *simmering in anger*

So all my stuff has been fedex'ed away. I hope it reaches SG by monday and then, if I'm lucky, I'll have my Visa by Wednesday. Then I can give a big "Fuck You" to Michigan, and be in India by Sunday evening! I can't wait to roam the streets of Old Delhi, buy a stomach-churning cup of chai from a chai-wallah and sit on the toilet for 4 hours afterwards. I can't wait to tempt Fate and charge through Indian traffic on a bicycle! To spray my face with water from a plant mister to survive the 45 degree (celcius) summers! Eating great Indian food! Dressing in Kurta Pyjamas! Aaahh!!! India! The Land for All Reasons!

I was reading how this white chap went to Old Delhi with big dreams of seeing all these wonderful mosque's etc but as soon as he got there, his dreams of a wonderful carefree time was shattered when he was hit by 2 auto rickshaws within 5 mins.

Auto Rickshaws: Stealth Assault Vehicle!

Man. I think I'll buy one. That would be fun. I'm sure I can get one shitty little auto rickshaw for like Rs 2000 or something, then I can drive around and pick up white people and charge them exorbitant amounts to take them precisely where they do not want to go! Mwahahaha!

Ah... Dreams of India...

Return to the Motherland

Success! I have been accepted for a Traineeship with the GL Group (www.glgroup.com) in Delhi! Finally, after years of dreaming and failed plans, I will smell the sweet ( and by most accounts sewage-ey) smell of my ancestral land... India!

It all seems too perfect to be true... A fantastic internship in an awesome company right in the middle of the political capital of India. Everything I ever wanted for my 2005 summer all in one beautifully wrapped package!

Now if only I can get my Visa done in time, I wonder if I can just FedEx everything to my dad and have him set it all up for me. Do I really have to be present in order for them just to put a couple of stamps in my passport? Do I need a work visa or can it all be settled with a simple tourist visa? So many question and so little time to get the answers.
